CASCADE / POSITIONING
Position Radar
Compare futures positions by participant group, then examine recent price changes.
Positions describe a past snapshot. COT is usually published Friday for Tuesday positions; the report date is not the publication date. This comparison does not establish who traded or why price moved.
Rank the latest net position / open interest against up to 156 earlier reports (minimum 52), using midranks for ties. The current report is excluded. Ranks ≤10 or ≥90 define historical extremes; the sign of net positions must agree to describe a crowded side.
Compare the latest five ECB observations only when they end on or after the report date and within 10 calendar days of it. Opposite direction is a descriptive mismatch, not a reversal signal. Reference prices older than five calendar days are excluded from the direction comparison.
Weekly snapshots, not live retail sentiment or the entire FX market.
Saved positioning history, updated by the site operator. Refreshing the page loads the saved data; it does not request a new report from the CFTC.
